India Day 2024 — A new location
We invite everyone to bring your picnic chairs, blankets, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. (Here’s a handy checklist.) We’re going to have a picnic in the park with all of the live music, food, drinks, and vendors like we have every year!
The 2024 ICA India Festival will be held on Sunday, August 11, at a new venue - Beaverton City Park, right across the street from Beaverton City Library! We are trying a new venue and vibe this year with a picnic-style event, complete with a splash pad to cool off.
New for 2024 will be live hands-on demonstrations for cricket, mehndi (henna), and a platform to learn new moves for classical Indian dance. Be a part of the action, try your skills, and learn something new!
Our Purpose
India Cultural Association of Portland (ICA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing Indian cultural awareness in Portland, Oregon. Established in 1980, ICA brings the entire Indian community together and provides a venue for people to reconnect with their roots.
In August of every year, ICA hosts the popular India Festival in Portland, Oregon, to celebrate India’s Independence Day. The all-day festival attracts over 10,000 visitors from all backgrounds. It never fails to delight with a fusion of free live music, dance, food, and entertainment!
